Our Focus
Our Livestock
We have forest-raised heritage pigs and rotationally grazed Katahdin-St Croix sheep. The pigs are 100% organic fed, and rotated through our forest where they forage freely in 1/4 acre paddocks.
The lamb are 100% pasture-raised. They are rotated daily or every other day onto a new paddock to keep their diet diverse and healthy. It's also healthy for the pasture - this approach helps to maximize root growth, soil health, water infiltration rates and the development of the pasture- it's the 'regenerate' in our regenerative approach.
We do not use any pesticides, herbicides or synthetic fertilizers.

We strongly believe that our community is the foundation for social and environmental health. This means building connections: both between people and between people and nature. We hope to support this through social events, educational opportunities and connections with nature.
We are keeping 35+ acres of the land in forest and pond to maintain wild habitat and resources for foraging, support mushroom cultivation, and protect the watershed feeding Canoe Creek and ultimately the Catawba River.
This forest was clear-cut about 20 years ago and is now dominated by early pioneer species trees and invasive plants. With a forestry management plan from Eco-foresters in place, a key focus for us will be to support the forest through environmentally- friendly management practices focusing on biodiversity and forest health.
